F16 + Nova linkage problems

Hi all
Got an XE + F16 in my Nova but having problems getting the gearlinkage setup
Ive done the conversion before but didnt use the spacer on gearbox mount
This time ive used it + having problems

Ive flipped over the plastic part of linkage but this makes it much too long + the bent metal arm part of the linkage hits the gearbox mount

Ive got the same setup in mine mate an all i did was flip the plastic bit over and setup the linkage as normal so no idea whats going on there is it the original linkage that the car came with? Its not a corsa one or anything?

Its the original nova linkage, the only way i can see round it at the mo is re-drill the hole 5mm further back in the gearbox part of the linkage where the white bit connects to
