alternater help

my alternater isnt charging my battery and mr aa said its because i need a higher ampage one. Which car can i get one off that has about 90 - 100 amps? Im going scrap yard on the hunt for one and they have a couple of petrol and diesell cavs, would they fit?

Do you have lots of ice or electrical equipment? If yes then you will need a higher ampd alternator.

If not an you have most standard electric equipment then you would want your alternater re-conditiond.

if you intended on using a higher ampd one from another car then it would be scrapyard prices 20-40pound i reckon.
