I have been ofered a set of these very cheap,all im getting is the carbs? what will i need to get them onto my 1400 sr.I allready no i will be needing to change the bracket for the alternator cheers:roll: :)

the smallest jets you can get for the 45's otherwise they will over fuel like hell.

if your 1400SR is injection, then you'll need a new tank, and possibly dizzy.

IMO 45's are way to big for a 1400, buy them and sell them :)

So they are going to be way to big then? My dad was saying i could get small jets for them.I belive they were off a ford 8v pinto?

My uncle tried 45s on his race nova, on the rolling road it was up on power but on the track it was useless had a lot less low down grunt than the 40s he had on previously and on the start just bogged down too much, i dont know what they would be like on a road car but as stuart said buy them, flog them to someone with a big engine and buy some 40s :)

45s are way too big for a 1400 unless its a full on race engine thats gonna live at very high revs
