need help fitting( ideas)

I've tryed fitting a flip out screen head unit and wont fit due to havin to much wiring and the head unit wont go rite bk. how can i get round this and make the head unit go rite in the hole, had some ideas but just want to hear if any of you lot some ideas too???? thanks

i always tuck all the wiring as far back as possible and just enough poking out to reach the headunit.

can't really tell the difference between the 2 dash's and try'd pushing the wire's rite bk and still wont go in, umm fill this is goin to be a tricky 1 lol

how much will it not go in by as you can buy spacer plates at 3mm

i was thinking that lol. but got told in the gte the head unit goes in the centre console where the gear stick is?????

the mk1 dash the stereo is at the top and the mk2 its at the gearstick. so whoever told you gte must of ment gsi.

prob yea so i got a mk1 dash then is it pos to just get the console the hold the stereo at the bottom then? just that bit and not take the whole dash out and swap it. if you no what i mean
