Ive tried one but it doesn't fit?? plus theres a big daft nut sticking out of the end!
I bought a Bosch one from BMS on exchange for £60ish. They had it on the shelf as well. Asked for an Astra GTE 16v one.

A little off topic but looking at the gap between the alt/cambelt case ive shed loads more room is this normal to have varied gaps or hav i done something wrong.
Sorry for spaming your thread auzzy.:thumb:

no worries mate, i think lots of nova's varie due to tolerances when the cars were made..
Probably because i have no cutout in my chassis leg mate, it was just slit, pushed back and welded back up.....

I meant the engine in general ad because my alt cutout is a bit pikey but ive hammered it back but not half as much as that an i seem to have a good cm gap still and nearly an inch or so betwen the cam belt case an chassis  .

No idea then mate.
Ive just about got enough space to change the belt.
And im running solid mounts.
