Ive tried one but it doesn't fit?? plus theres a big daft nut sticking out of the end!

I bought a Bosch one from BMS on exchange for £60ish. They had it on the shelf as well. Asked for an Astra GTE 16v one.

my gsi alt is different? the nut that holds the pullry on pokes out and will foul the chassis by the looks of things:confused:

Hmmm, mine was definently off a gte/gsi, and as seen fits fine...

and have you never had a problem? does the amp etc not really matter?

A little off topic but looking at the gap between the alt/cambelt case ive shed loads more room is this normal to have varied gaps or hav i done something wrong.

no worries mate, i think lots of nova's varie due to tolerances when the cars were made..

Probably because i have no cutout in my chassis leg mate, it was just slit, pushed back and welded back up.....

I meant the engine in general ad because my alt cutout is a bit pikey but ive hammered it back but not half as much as that an i seem to have a good cm gap still and nearly an inch or so betwen the cam belt case an chassis :confused: .

No idea then mate.
Ive just about got enough space to change the belt.

And im running solid mounts.

Could be why then ad im only running standard rubbers.
