Nova would fall apart the moment you hit a deep pot hole.

Bloody fantastic though, I love it.

Thats quality lol

If he finished 3rd in class what won it, also wouldn't the BMW be rwd so he might have come last in class.

"I once asked Bill why he insisted on going through every spectator section crossed up and with the engine banging off the limiter. "Dude," he said, "I don't care if it costs me a couple of tenths. It makes the fans go nuts.""

lol Legend!

It came 3rd in class but theres a few different classes run at WRC events, Colin McRae competed at his first WRC event in a nova iirc, but not in the top class. £500 wouldn't be anywhere close to the final cost of the car either, I'd hazard a guess at anywhere between 5 and 20k depending on it's spec, if it's competitive more like 20 lol

It's also over 25 years since the last one was made to enter the lower classes iirc, so you could still enter a nova. Thats going off of the fact that we saw the last mini's enter a few years ago, not 100% on that :)

£20k?

When a gearbox is £5k, and an engine is about £8, it soon spirals out of controll lol

Look at that corsa c on here, £12,000 just for the gearbox, propper sequential dog box though:d

I'm assuming it is still a relatively low budget build as far as they go since he designed and built the cage himself to save money for tyres

£20k?

You can build a very competitive 106 S1600 Cup Car for about £20k from a donor GTi shell. By build i mean pay a motorsport preperation company to do as oppose to DIY from second hand parts.
