plans have changed from fitting an x16xe

ive been told the engine is knackered so i aint buying it

ive been offered a good running corsa b sri engine

do these use the same mounts as the x16xe?

what about the wiring?

Same as the Nova SRi engine.

Nova mounts, wiring is preety much the same as any vauxhall, wont go into detail about that atm.

Is very similar to fitting a X16XE.

the sri engine wont have a chip in the key will it?

Not if its an 8v no (C14SE motor IIRC?)

Depends what year the corsa is if its a late one it could be a 1.4 16v x14xe engine!

That would be a Corsa Sport, not an SRi.

Some of the later SRI's came with that engine too mike my mate had an N reg on with that engine in an ive seen a few others too.

If its a x14xe then yes mate if its a c14se then its easier mate.

My post was thinking 8v, if its a later SRi with the 16v then its exactly the same as the X16XE, i have a X14XE in my nova.

Yeah, 8v, same as Nova SRi.

Piss simple conversion, you might even be able to find a 1400 SRi complete loom.
