Following on from my other thread, turns out its definitely electrical the AA have been out to see it and the notes he left are,


No spark. Feed to coil ok. Fuel ok. Suspect coil/amplifier

I've tried two different coils/amplifiers and still no joy, unless both coils/amplifiers are goosed what are the other possibility's?

Rotor arm looked clean and ok, was replaced not so long ago too along with the distributor cap and ignition switch.

coil to dizzy lead?

The HT lead? Possibly as its due a service and that may be a good starting point, thing is, it was running fine when I went in to work on friday at 9 am, its when I left work at 1 pm it wouldn't start.

Fixed, changed the distributor and all is good.

Because it wasnt that, it was the hall sensor.
