so my grandads volvo wouldnt start and narrowed it down to the injectors, i tested them for ohms and all read 16.1 ohms  and there was a permanent 12v at one side and pulsed 12v at the other and still no spray. so now the rail it off and i want to try 12v over both terminals but is this going to work and do i just earth the rail  seems strange how none of them spray

One side will be 12v, the other side is a switch ground. (The ecu grounds the injector to fire it)
And no you cant test them to see if they spray off the car because the fuel rail is pressurised when the engines running, it wont be with it off the car.

Have you checked things like the fuel pump/relay???

its defo getting fuel and i did try them still all connected with fuel / wiring etc and still no go. are you sure volvo are live and earth as there was defo +12v at both the wires in the plug.

For whatever reason the ecu isnt pulsing the injectors open if the engines getting no fuel

Maybe a crank sensor/dizzy problem, what engine is it??

its a 91 2.0 petrol non turbo. im going to trace the wiring back and try and work out if theres a break in the cable.

i got it started  for about 10 seconds lol as i was earthing the injectors by using a piece of wire. so there no break in the wire so its the ecu not sending the pulse. help meeeeeeeeeeee.

:tard: my grandads Lolvo has a built in fault code reader under the bonnet that i spyed today so im off later to flash up the codes :d

i flashed the codes up for the injection and the l.e.d flashed up 1-1-1 meaning :thumb: but when i tested the ignition the l.e.d was a solid red that wont go out. im close to getting the matches.
