I'm fitting a C16SE in a 1.4 sr car must I use the black Lucas Dizzy or will it run well on the old sr orange Dizzy. If I must use the Black Lucas Dizzy where do I get the 3 electrical feeds from as my car only has the 2 pin connector now.

C16SE is a dispack engine, do you mean E16SE from the GTE and earlier GSi?

The SR dizzy wont work, you will need to run the 1600 engines distributor and wiring loom.

It is a C16SE motor from a Opel using the Motronic/Irmscher management ecu have it running on the sr dizzy but not good.

E16SE in europe was the C16SE, later engine being C16SE1 or SEI/similar.


Are you trying to run the 1.6 engine on the 1.4 management?

No a 1.6 motor using a 1.4 SR DIZZY the engine loom is for the 1.6 with ecu but the in car loom is from the 1.4 sr cab model so the connectors for the dizzy are diffrent and give me problems as the dizzy for the 1.6 has a 3pin connector and the car loom only has a 2 pin connector for the old 1.4 dizzy

dizzy connector is on the engine loom, not the car loom.

Sorry but not on my car or the Opel engine loom the connector come's form the in-car side not the separate loom for the to run the fuel injection ect

Have the same engine on my car, and the dizzy connector is on the engine loom, you need that and the correct dizzy plugged in to the management. I can only assume cut up/wrong engine loom.

ok on the loom that came with the engine are 1 ecu con 1 fuel pump relay and con 1 air flow con 1 water temp con 1 crankshaft speed-position sensor con 4 injections con 1 octane plug 1 throttle valve switch con 1 coolant temp sensor con 1supplementary air valve con 1 lam con 1 multi plug 6 pin plus earths and no dizzy con. sorry I may have missed 1 or 2 but 100% No dizzy 3 pin connector on the engine loom the only connector for the dizzy is coming from the main car loom if you do not believe me I will try to get some photos on here tomorrow.
