Just took my 20xe bottom end apart to replace the big ends, which ones are best?
Is there a type called glyco or summat?
And i'll be fitting ARP bolts the the rods is there any different types of them?

Seen lots of shells recommended from manufacturers like Glyco, ACL etc. I've just ordered some Mahle ones for my XE. Don't make the same mistake I did buying standard sizes then realising the crank needs a regrind and you need to buy another different sized set!

Might be worth getting the crank grounded if needed and balanced along with new bearings and a set of ARP for the conrods, will be worth it in my opinion.

The bearings look good and so does the crank, im putting new ones in it just so they're done. I got R1 carbs 2 go on it so it will be revving quite a bit :)
I just don't know which bearings are best to put in it, ive heard of so many different types lol

If you will be revving and using the engine fully more oftne, then it may be worth replacing or doing some extra work whilst it's off just so that you have piece of mind. If you are 100% confident that all is super duper then that's up to you. :thumb:

Its sounds stupid i know lol , but the engine came from a standard gte about 5 years ago but i didn't hear it running. I finally got use for the engine now so i thought change the big ends, just for peace of mind and because im fitting ARP bolts.

i always use ACL 780 beaings in all the engines i build for myself and customers.

get the crank measured and polished, dont grind if dont need 2

I used ACL for my xe as I found a lot of people recomended them.
