View Full Version : Removing travel from Nova Brakes..
As above, i know you have to adjust something, but not sure what bit and where?
Any gen please.
usually by adjusting up the drums & changing the fluid, and braided hoses
you can adjust free play on the pedal by moving the servo clevis. with no servo vacuum, it should be 6-9mm
Cross cable thing?
Its has new fluid, drums are ok and braided hoses all round.
I know which bit you mean ben. Back of the pedal, get your head up there and you should be able to see it if my memory serves me right.

id read somewhere there was a bolt or similar on the brake pedal which you tighten half a turn or so to take out the pedal but im not 100 % sure

its on the pedal box, noticed it the other day, if you need a picture let me no !
be careful not to get it too 'tight' and have the brakes on a fraction all the time

We need pics, and if someone is gonna attempt this maybe a a 'How To'. Would like to remove the travel from my brakes too or at least reduce it.
Rubbish pic, but you can just about see the nut that you adjust within the circle.

Yeah I just about see it lol So I assume all you do is turn it out?
haynes reckons to alter the clevis & thread behind the servo.
if you overadjust the one in the above photo, it could compromise the travel of the linkageand you could end up with no brakes.
by altering the one behind the servo, the shaft & links stay as gm intended them to be
You cant do anything to the one behind the servo... Or if you can i've never noticed it(and i've had it apart 5-6 times)
What i was thinking benn. I cant think of ANY adjustment on the servo end.
