i think its in haynes workshop manual that there was an option for electric door mirrows has anyone ever had these fitted to there nova?

like there is a reference in the wiring diagrams for heated seats, never seen any though

heated seats were an option in colder areas like scandinavia as were front fogs on the continent and rear opening side windows

As per Duick's posts in the thread above - Mk2 cav are the motors used in Nova mirrors. I've electrified one of mine (stupidly, the driver side one.. D'oh! But that was the only decent nick mirror I had at the time) using the mk2 motor. Hardest part was getting the glass out the Nova mirror without breaking it.

what mirror switch was in it if it was only the passenger side ?

A mate of mine had a G reg nova GTE with factory fitted (I think) heated front seats. They had proper GM heated seat switches in the centre console where there is normally a blank, if I remember right.

This was in a car I broke that had a dealer fit mirror. Still got the switch, loom & mirror with grey and brown surrounds ready for a future project.

I know you have one
was trying to find out from blue peg what type he had as I didn't think
you could get an electric mirror on a gte .I thought they were only available
up to the end of 87 model year ( pre facelift)

That will fit, it was dealer fit so available up until facelift I would have thought
