key chip

hello ive lost the chip to my brothers corsa 1.0 is there any way of bypassing the key code system and does it imobilise the ecu or fuel pump????

no there is no way to bypass it other than to have a new key recoded

i turned the igniton on earlier and the dash lights came on just wondering if it might go by bypassing the fuel pump wires. if it dosent work i will get a new ecu + key code

yes it will but then all it will do is crank over there is another way around it have the ecu unlocked

is to have it unlocked i had one done for a bmw bout 40quid i think

no not by vauxhall try yell.com and search if it is done by vauxhall all they do is program another key to the car and will prob cost you alot more

ECU etc will be cheaper. ECU, Keychip (from inside the key), and the transponder (around the barrel) will only be about £30-60.

its about £50 labour + vat + price of the key at my place

edit- Buy 2 keys and have them both programmed at the same time, wont cost you more for the programming a second key because they will do it all in one go. Then you have spare for next time
