New f20 going in the van next weekend, cleaned it all up but would like to paint it aswell, what's the best option for primer and paint, gonna be a rattle can job, but it doesn't need to be high temp, or does it??

Thanks

Normal paint and primer is fine mate. Just as you would paint the body.

No problem mate, just prep it well and it should be fine. I used normal paint for rocker covers with no problem.

I used hammerite on engine block and gearbox too with good results!

Hammerite is good but limited to certain colours. If you wanna paint it body colour example then normal paint is fine. If you wanna go black, silver etc then Hammerite is the one to go for.

Prep is the key! Paintingbis the easy bit, you have to make sure all grease is removed, all the nooks and crannies are well rubbed down, as this is where the paint normally flakes from
