Hi,
Im getting GIVEN a Vectra 1.8 16 v ecotec ( full car as its rotton )
How hard would this be to fit into a corsa b, what mounts would be needed
driveshafts hubs etc
All help appreciated as i have no clue
my corsa is a 1.2 8v shell pre - 97
cheers
sorry, i thought this was an equation... vectra is bigger than corsa etc...
basically its the same job as xe'ing it, so conversion mounts & modified shafts
is it big block or small block? my mum has a vectra with a 1.8 16v smallblock (z18xe1 ?) and I've been told it would fit straight in a corsa b, same mounts etc just wiring I think? don't know how true this is. If its a big block, what mowgli said.

x18xe1 engines (if thats what you have?) i think are small block. I have a Vectra SXi with one of these fitted. Would be suited to a Corsa/Nova IMO.
easy mark, i've done this conversion before. i shall chat to you over the weekend. :)

it sounds like it was going to be the older big block x18xe; if the vec was too rotten..
as said, c20xe stylee..

Yea i think its the X18XE, is it a costly conversion for the mounts shafts etc
It is bigblock.
Same mounts, shafts etc as a 2.0 conversion.
If it was me id strip the vec, buy a bare 2.0 ecotec engine and put that in.

At the moment, i really just need my car back on the road as i need it for work, later on i will be eventually putting a C20XE in so the mounts shafts etc will be needed either way
