I've searched so please dont suggest that...
How has everyone done bumper smoothing (Rexy will be able to answer this if he's still around)??
Im thinking sand back the texture of the bumper then use a bumper filler for the lines I want to take out??
Dont want to use filler for the whole lot, will go through loads and there's massive room for error and "dodgey" high and low spots in the filler.
Thought about plastic welding, put new bits into the slots etc?
That or fibreglass. Theres no real need for "bumper filler", mine has normal body filler and hasnt cracked.
I'd plastic weld a bit of plastic in to the gap getting it as flush as poss. Then fill over to smooth.
You don't want a inch deep filler. You can get plastic fillers that heat up and melt on/in but i've never used them.
What ever you do you'll have high and low spots of filler, you sand them back till they arnt.
And guide coat will be a good help with the high/low spots
I plastic welded when I made flush bumpers. Not Nova but a number plate recess etc. is the same on anything. The a light skin of filler should see you right.

Yeah but i'm sure its only a finishing like stopper rather than a filler. Still wont be perfect tho.
