side vinyl

i know there are plenty of threads made about this but i couldn't find them, was just wondering what would be the best colour to match my bumpers when i take the side vinyl of to fix the rust behind it because i do not want to put the vinyl back on, what colour do you think would be the best and what type of paint e.g gloss, Matt etc, and also would grey or black be best for the door handles and boot grab, Thanks Matt :thumb:

Your Nova wouldnt have come with Vinyl, so i'd remove it and have both sides of the car repainted to leave it mint. To give you an example, my old Nova started like yours, same colour etc and ended up like:

If you prefer the vinyl look, take a sample to a paintshop or motorfactors that mixes paint and they'll be able to match it.

yeah i am going to get the vinyl of after the meet and get the rust sorted get my self a gsi front bumper get it primed and back bumper primed and get them sprayed, if i could have mine looking exactly like yours i would be totally pleased :thumb: amazing car that was

Well if you're painting your bumpers the best colour match for the sides would be... The same paint you use on your bumpers?!

yea i know they are being sprayed lagoon blue, so are the sides now i have decided :thumb:
