Valve difference ?

Would a valve out of a 1.4 nova head, work on a 1.6 head ?

Cos the guy in the shop can only order 1.4 valves and not 1.6, unless i order them for some random astra engine..

No mate defo not i had simular prob on my 1.4mpi astra the 1.6 valves are shorter by 3mm.

I would have said most of the 1.6s should have mate why whats up with the ones in yours lewi?

basically, all 1.6 8v small blocks are 38mm inlet, 31mm exhaust

the inlet valves are all the same, but there seems to be an early & late exhaust valve, but they are the same size.

the 1400 ones are smaller

AlanH and me were inspecting the valves last week and noticed that one was a little bit bent so its a good idea to buy a new one, i went down today and he cant get nova gsi valves.


So really one of the astra 1.6 valves should work ?

Yeah, all the 1.6 8v valves are the same
