over fueling problem

hi i put my nova 1.4 8v up for m.o.t today and i got told it was overfueling and i was 3 times over on the emisshones its a singal point carb thats on just now and i got told to put a multi point on but mines got wires going to it if im changeing it will i need the wires and has sumone got eny pic off the fuelpump wires

just find a mechanic who knows not to talk out of his ar$e and get it adjusted

i was thinking the same but if you do decide to change it i'm sure the head ports aren't the same shape either so unless you change the head to match the new inlet manifold you'll never see it running right!

and if it is overfueling by a factor of 3, then a sensor or switch is out of whack & a decent mechanic with a decent diagnostic machine will be able to fix it

Oh yea it was just with you saying get someone to adjust it mate lol

i have never been for an mot & had the mechanic tell me that my engine was the wrong spec!!!!!
