Does anyone out there know how to fix a head gasget and if so send me an e-mail because ny car is pissing me off.starting it on a morning is a bastard. does anyone know anywere in Middlesbrough were i can get it fixed for cheap. cheers chris

piece of piss mate.
did mine myself just whip of the cylinder head and take your rocker cover off too. then i just took emery cloth and smoothed the head, fitted new gaskets and back on with rocker and head. mark the timing though with chalk or something to make sure you get that right. youll need haynes manual for bolt orders and torques settings.
i got quoted ?200 for a garage to do it. cost me ?12 for the gaskets!
i know most people prefer to get the head skimmed but my car has seen better days so i couldnt be bothered as it wouldnt have made much difference.

U MEAN UR HEAD GASKET HAS GONE??

u got garage? get a haynes manual do it urself! piss of piss and it wont cost near as much as what a garage would charge you! just remeber to mark the timing before u move the head cause if the timing is the least bit out you will have a lot of work to fix it.
