Are the lower arm plates essential when doing a LET conversion??

strenghtening the wishbones? no. but if you welding stuff and have some metal itll only take ten mins.

on aftermarket arms, yes it is! I have seen bent arms on lets before, the problem with aftermarket panles/arms etc is they made of cheap, not as tough metal.
I weld them anyway just to be sure.

yeah i do mate, fairly cheap imo too

i have them on a 1300 so definitely put them on a LET lol

Yeh I think I will with a LET

maybe, maybe not - car is gona be used for road rallying so just wanted to stiffen the chassis up a tad :thumb:

Or if you cant be arsed to weld them, and want a bit of flex for when you smash into that kurb, corsa ones are partly strengthen.

Might aswell do it mate plus David does them for a great price. What's the best welding method when fitting these? Stitch or seam?

stitch alternately so an inch stitch on one side opposite an inch gap

as mentioned if there pattern parts do it but if not will be fine i even use vauxhall bottom ball joints on mine as i put a cheap one on mine (truepart) and it snaped within a week took it back and they swaped it thought with the first it was a dodgey joint but the second one did the same so went bought a vauxhall one and never had a problem since, the ones that broke snapped clean off in the hubs
