1. Remove the bumper firstly by following the instructions in your Haynes manual.

2. Find a suitable mounting point for the pins - modifying the original brackets would be a good way.

3. Remove the steel beam out of the bumper and drill holes in line with the brackets. Drill the small holes for the fixing screws and screw on the plates.

4. OPTIONAL: re-fit the steel beam into the bumper. I wouldnt, it reduces the weight hanging on the pins.

5. Find some way of supporting the bumper sides, otherwise it will hang down. Rear bumpers are easy in this way as they have the brackets. You could make a similar sort of set-up.

6. Fit the bumper and screw in/out the pins until the correct position is found.

Please feel free to add/edit any info

remove bumper with the bumper iron still in the bumper (2x13mms under each inner wing).
undo the 13mm on the bumper iron which hold the 2 L shape bits in place.
then drill a hole as this will be were the pin will pass through.
Puthe 2 L shape bits onto the car and then remover the bumper iron from the bumper.
Adjust the 2 pins to the lenght you need and then fit the other part to the bumper and then fit back together.
Repeat the same on the rear by removing the 2 x 13mm bolts in the boot.
Job done

Well said bud.
My first gsi i had i fitted a cuppra splitter to it then turned around on my mates driveway and ripped the bumper clean off.
It was well funny and just got bung back on.
It's only a bumper.
Ive broke so many nova gsi/gte/sr's/sri's between my self and my mate ive lost count.
I love them to bits because of how rubbish they are and that ive grown up with them.
There just little rott box's that are easy to work on.
