Whats the best way of cutting 3mm ABS to avoid shattering it?

Also try a hot knife, hacksaw etc. Depends what part and how much you're cutting IMO.

IME ABS melts and becomes a pain in the ass if you use anything like a saw with speed (even a handsaw can melt the stuff lol)

got some 250mm width ABS need to cut it to length for a dash panel

I'm slow though, so not enough friction builds up. lol

i just thought if he was cutting a section out and then reshaping with sandpaper, file etc it may save some hassle.

you can get plastic cutting blades for jigsaws
