wheel refurbing

i wasn't to sure what section to put this in but does any know what's used to fill in scuffs on alloy wheels when doing a wheel refurb? i was told its just normal body filler but i thought it would jus crack off on a pothole or such like

would probably crack off if you bent the wheel... but short of ally welding it and shaping it down properly you won't find much than won't!
