Just tested HT lead with a screwdriver onto engine and not getting a spark. I did have one briefly earlier as the engine started then cut out and hasnt started since.
I am getting voltage to the coil as the rev counter needle moves as the engine turns on the starter. What could be the problem?

is the gearbox earth strap in good condition? a quick way is to put a jump lead between the earth on the battery and the other end on the engine block.

dodgy(sp) earths can cause no end of problems

in order to get a good spark you need a good earth and without the gearbox earth strap you'll be getting toiling.

Possibly the module in distributor could be dead, symptom is no spark, happened to me twice
mine did this...but i just hit all the ignition stuff with a bar n it worked fine since :/
