But they are meant to be good quality & well made etc.
The opposite of what you might get if the Chinese started making them, chocolate spindles & poor sealing etc.
Adam is fitting a set to his track car in projects section currently.

is iv said 'im buying them ' lol.
ill be getting them mapped by track n road in essex.
then they will be fine (aslong as they dont have bent spindles from a piss poor install)

Is that usually too much throttle cable tension, or a poor bracket etc?
Not balancing them correctly and not ensuring the stop is set with a bit of full throttle could bend the spindle in one pair quite easily.
same with T40's, too much tension when the pedal is flat on the floor = bent spindle time, and the start of all the old wives tales of woe.
cant it be straightened/repaired?

Probably not very accurately. Obv if the carbs/bodies are catered for spares available, then the spindle can be replaced.
You cant get any spares for NTR bodies btw
And on the pic on corsasport, bear in mind theres no throttle linkage fitted..... Better asking the seller if hes got that...... Or make one yourself if you are good with metal.
Still a fookin bargain tho!!!!
Note they are most likely to be fine, but sits something to be aware of.
I'd imagine in the unlikely event of a bent spindle any half decent enigineering place will be able to make one up, as its jsut a bit of bar with slots and threads on it lol

yea they should be good mate they will sound the bomb when done!!
got them home last night, really pleased with them.
got the throttle llinkage and cable, altenator lowering bracket, air filters the whole lot.
the omex is still on a base map but iv phoned track n road in essex and they said that they can map it and run my engine in on the rollers (as its been rebuilt) for £400 and will take around 3-4 hours.
Bargain! I saw a set some years ago, are these the nice annodised aluminum jobbies?

Any ECU is spot on as long as it has been properly installed and mapped by someone who knows the management and knows what they are doing.

look so out of place lol
Tell me about it Dave! lol
*Dave*-Thats how mine were mate when i bought them as they had had so little use!
I just cut the firewall right down to the edge, it will be a close fit but longer trumpets should JUST clear the cutdown seam. I have none to try though....
Loads of recent pics of mine in my wip thread
