hi thier i just wonderin what do people fink of a AUDI A3 5DR SPORTBACK 2.0 TDI 170 BHP S LINE

comments would very helpful:thumb: as i know were one of these is goin cheap an sounds temptin lol

well first of all there not 170 bhp. there 140. i used to have one, there ok engine doesnt have the rev range the old 1.9 had.

how cme it say's 170 then ? my mate has a 54 plate an thats 170 model, also my boss has 07 audi A3 an thats a 170 aswel..... or do is it jus sme number's then ?

their both identical......

yeah the power is more in 1 lump on the 2.0 tdi, they are known for cracking cylinder heads if not looked after. also have dual mass flywheel issues on the earlier models. good looking car tho and they do go well :)

you get both the 140 and 170 tdi engines. i think though, from memory that the better option is to go for a 140 and then a remap.

exceptionally nice cars. We have two audi tdi's for dailly driving and they are just excelllent!

thank's guys:thumb: well ive bin offerd it for £6500 :cool: its got 1 owner from new full service history an 112'000 miles, also just bin serviced. its in metalic blue lowerd slightly realy stunning.

All new 2.0 tdi engines are 140 bhp, my mate has a 58reg a4 s line he ordered it brand new from Glasgow audi and was told if he wanted more power he had to get a bigger engine, I've had my s3 for 6 years now and one thing I've learned is to get it serviced regularly! And watch audis prices on sevicing £19 to change a bulb lol

boring, painful to sit in (I was in the back of my old mans A3 5dr for 30 mins and got back ache from being bolt upright), have to duck to look out of the rer windows. The front is uncomfortable too.

but then, most people here know my dislike for anything smaller than an A6 in the VAG lineup lol

i have bin told thier parts are expensive:eek: :eek: :eek: that's the only scary thing about it. and wot happend's if something's electricals fails on it ??? or the engine blew on it...... im very heavy foot'd LOLlol lol

VAG doesn't refer to VW Audi Group any more, it now refers to Volkswagen Aktiengesellschaft which is the parent group that dictates vehicle design to the subsidiary companies, including VW and Audi amongst others.

Aktiengesellschaft is akin to Public Limited Company, abbreviated to AG in the same way of plc.

:thumb: vag never did refer to it either. if you say vag at vw's hq at mk, you get the "looks" lol Vw bods then prompty remind you that they own audis ass! lol

It's an Audi dont buy it lol

I work on them for a living,2.0 tdi's arn't a reliable engine..had loads in with cracked cylinders heads,faulty injectors which are £400 eachlol

had a few with bent valves aswell because the engine has nipped up !!!!

yes they do a 140 and a 170 bhp model,alot of 07 08 plate a3's are 170 models :thumb:

Just get it serviced at the correct times :)

bkd mate :)

we had a patch at our place where we had 8 a3's/a4's what needed engine work on them because they had gone wrong !!!!!

only Audi i would have is an old shape s3..or the new shape s3 but would have to be modified !!!!!
