Right as per all my other threads guys ive come across my RON plug it has an A an B on it what should this be on? on my spi loom it just had 95 an 98 for the octane in the fuel. Ive swopped the XE's one over to A and it seems to drive alot smoother and the power delivery is smoother instead of ragging the car allover the place.

Any gen on these guys.

erm i forget, the topbuzz website may tell you,,

Alternatively measure the resistance across the two pins that are in use when it is installed in the car.... ie the RON plug has 3 pins but the socket in the car only has 2,

98 is 470 ohms
95 is 220 ohms
91 is zero.

(i hope i have got this the right way round.....see topbuzz to double check please)

Now that i think about it the reference resistance can be different for different management systems.. so those figures are specific to the spi system i was working on.

Right just been on topbuzz and cleared this up lol some idiot had turned the RON plug over before i got the engine to B setting which would explain why the engine was so violent under acceleration as the timing becomes advanced by 5degrees on B setting there for knocking all the timing values out of normal operating specs.

Just thought id share with all incase anyone else has these probs.
