hi,

im thinking of trying something a bit different and get my air inlet coming out the other side of the engine. would a C20LET top hat fit the standard C20XE to run the inlet pipe to?

ah i see so would be no good? its either that or use the ecotec adapter and just put the inlet pipe on back to front. or just do standard haha

I'd say an ecotec plate with the hose pointing the wrong way would be the better idea

make sure you have the maf facing the correct way when you swing it all round...

why would you want to do that?

are you ok?

although its 'new' its stupid, theres no need for it.

it was just an idea of maybe running an airbox with a cold air feed. Dont think the Astra one would fit on the other side for bonnet clearences so though about maybe having it over the gearbox.

Just thinking of new ideas but if its not going to be any good i wont bother. Thanks for the advice though

inlet on the other side looks good imo

I've a few different Novas with this done & I like the idea. Makes the bay appear a bit more balanced if thats your thing, maybe easier to direct cooler air to the filter on that side also.
I imagine the AFM wires need lengthening or moving within the loom?

cant be that badder mod using the top hat, the lets a more powerfull engine so shouldnt be down on power in theory.

But its forced induction so is capable of a larger flow. N/A, you wouldnt really choose to place a restriction in front of the TB butterfly.

yea i think it looks good but would need custom work to get it looking good like in that pic. nice to know some people are on my side!
