What options are there when it comes to fuel tanks for my mk1 Nova road rally car, i preferably want one with a internal pump so the pump is out of the way. The plans is to use my current T40's and possibly fit my X14xe at a later date. Can you buy uprated or swap with a bigger engined car's pump
What tank/pump combination should i be looking for?

Hi Gareth...

Use the standard tank and fit a Facet pump inside the car with a swirl pot.

Hows the car coming along?

Cant have a fuel pump inside the car, unless i firewall the boot, regualtions wont allow it. So be easier to fit a injection tank.

just run the standard tank and facet pump under the car then...

Thats all I've got.

Guessing with T40's you're not aiming at road rallying now?

I know all this, but its not what i asked is it christoff? I dont want a external pump due to impact damaged, if its internal, with a tank guard, much safer bet

Yeah, im gonna run the 40's as splits, picked them up from wrexham a week ago, already jetted to a 1300 and 300deg cam

Tidy...

If you're running a tank guard you could have it fitted externally.

None of the carb'd engined fuel tanks had internal pumps, they all ran mechanical on the cam carrier. The only ones that ran internal pumps were SPI models and they'll produce far too higher fuel pressure.

Should ahve said that first... :thumb:

Run the fuel pump from the engine bay?

What about supplying the pump less voltage so it does supply the correct pressure?

or get a decent fuel pressure reg that can take injection pressure down to 3psi.. WIN

I got a brand new pressure reg sitting here in the box and had the same thought this morning. Need to have a look at the specs of it.

So i'd be looking for a MPI/SPI Nova fuel tank? Are Tigra/Corsa tanks different

Different tank between Corsa and Nova. As you've said though get a MPI/SPI tank and then put a filter king on to reduce your pressure to 3psi as Stuarts stated.

Tank (http://www.pngclub.com/forum/showthread.php?t=136964) and pump (http://www.pngclub.com/forum/showthread.php?t=142571) ideal for carbs
