Have been given a set of SR steelies in 5 1/2 J14 (H2), and am wondering what tyre width is most suitable for them.

Any advice gratefully appreciated.

ive got these on my nova and run 186/55/14. a mate runs 165/65/14 its whatever you prefer i supose,
theres a red gte for sale atm with steelies on and i think its got 185/60/14 toyo r888s on it.....

I also ran the above and they looked good, a little wider than standard iirc

i run 175/75/14 on my alloys just use the usual size but i ran them on my sr steelies i had on another nova! there sh*t if you want it to handle well though lol

Sounds good. I want them to look understated but perform reasonably well. I'm not into 22's and painted-on tyres!

185/50/14- perfect IMO.
