My New Nova

Hi Everyone this is my new nova 1.2i fun I have bought from Pillar - cheers mate :thumb: .

The plans for her are either a C20xe or a LET - I havent decided yet. First thing is to strip the interior and take the engine out and then I will go from there.

Here is a pic what do you guys think? I will post more pictures later I am just waiting to get my camera back :) .

Yes he has put a lot of work into this car and the only rust I found was on the front panel which I will be replacing! Apart from that she is really really clean. :-)

Well it was a really nice day today so I decided to crack on with the nova. The plan for today was - strip out the interior down to the shell because I want two buckets in there with a cage and dash and thats about it. After that was done I wanted to remove the 1.2i engine because I want to replace it with a LET when I get my hands on one. Also Im going to re-spray the whole car inside and out as, Im sorry to say this Pillar, but the sprayjob is not fantastic :eek: but fairplay for trying. Also I want to re-spray the engine bay after stitch welding blah blah blah etc etc. :d
So heres some pics of what I got done today:

All went well I only found two bits of rust on ther whole car some on the front panel which I will replace before spraying/strengthening and a bit of surface rust in the battery tray - nothing major :)

So the next step is to remove all of the seam sealer in the bay and stitch weld it and weld all of the plates etc in - oh and replace the front panel. Hopefully I should get this done at some point this week.

its not to bad except the arches are made of filler but ive got panels to repair it just saving for a respay

Im quite lucky my brother is a panel beater/sprayer at Porsche so he does mine for next to nothing - I just have to pay for materials really lol

I'll have to come over and have a look mate - what engine are you running at the moment?

its got a c20xe but i killed it after usc 2008 ive striped the engine just got to rebuild it

it should be going over to alexes workshop so i can replace all the panels soon. and no i just brought the bare shell of him he sold the wheels to someone else

What are you replacing both rear quarters?? I'm down there all the time so I'll take a look. Did you see that Nova van Alex bought for £600 lol

im replacing front panel rear panel inner arches outer arch front wings doors and welding a few bits up. yeah it was a bit of a pair couldnt belive the amount of filler it was even holding the roof on

I know it was rediculous I just cant believe Alex paid 600 for it!!! Apparantly when they lifted it the roof just peeled off lol

No its ford radient red. Its a nice colour but unfortunately the guy who had it before me didnt do a great job of spraying so i'm re-spraying it inside/out :d . Im thinking of going white...
