Whilst I had my wheels off at the weekend, playing with my arches, and my Dad was changing his motorbike silencer for the summer, I decided to try out this!

Its Different I give you that. Looks good. Doesn't it restrict performance though? I've heard there really Restrictive on Car Engines.

really restrictive my arse!
i had a performance back box on my rover 416GTi (a cobra one 3" round) and i had it rolling roaded and it gave 113bhp@ the flywheel
and i swapped the can for a bike can (fireblade race can with no internals & baffles) and it gave 116.8bhp @ the flywheel
since i have added a filter & i haven't had it dynoed again.
i have gone from that to a 1.7td nova!!!!

cool, I'm looking into this. You can get silencers with interchangable end pieces for noise levels, which will come in handy for the track days! :D

I used a cut off piece from another exhaust to go from where the centre section ends to the end can. You could just get different end cans and swap and change. This happened cos my dad put his legal can back on his bike so i had this (not legal straight through can) put on!!

I am thinking of shortening the made up piece so the can doesn't stcik out as far? Do you think it sticks out too far?? Had to do it at an angle so it didn't hit the tyres!

It is only on temp cos my dad will want it back some time. For the time that it is on, like said it does stick out too far which is why i am going to cut back to piece i put in to make it shorter.
