c20xe sump gasket help

hi i have now got my corsa c20xe running an it needs a sump gasket so i went to my local motor factors an they said the one i need is a cork one but on my engine its a rubber one will the cork one be ok or do i have to find a rubber one.thanks jason

you want a x20xev one. fit it with 8v sump bolts

thanks m8 can i use the bolts that i have on my engine just saves tryin to find some

No. Because they will bottom out and not tighten up. Hence needing 8v ones. They are shorter.

your rubber one is probably an 8V one as they are better, the cork ones are the 16v ones

and make sure you only torque them to 12nm otheriwse your fook the gasket and it will leak!
