Will this backbox fit ?

Plus do i need cut out bumper? As i have had my rear bumper smoothed and sprayed now  I have seen many nova's with the same backbox below the bumper.

Thanks for the help! ;)

Ok Thanks for the help, Problem is due to my age getting something tasty under the bonnent is not really an option due to insurance, I would love my nova to be like some of the on going projects on this forum, But i am still learning so at the moment all i can really do is minor changes.

yeh i know what you are saying, i havnt been driving since last April while i slowly build my Nova up. Quite a few nice parts on it including a 1.3 SR engine on bike carbs now :d and im only 19.

Exhaust wise i have got a second hand 4 branch manifold and a new Sportex competition twin box system. £150 for the whole lot

i will get some up soon, bike carbs are a bit of a pikey first attempt on a home-made manifold, just waiting for a fuel regulator then i can start the engine and get everything set up.

My shell could do with new doors and a respray so i will be saving up for them once its running. Mechanically its just about there: polybushed throughout, GTE tie bars and plated bottom arms, lowered 60mm on front, 40 on back, Astra GTE brakes, rear ARB etc.

You should see about these sort of mods for your car, get it handling nicely and the puny 1.2i will be quite a good drive.

And the single best performance mod you could do is fit a 5 speed close-ratio gearbox from an SR!! :D

Yeah i am looking to lower it, whats best? just buy springs or do i have to buy a lowering kit?

I dont understand

lowering kit, springs alone will only lower it, the handling will still be poor without uprated shocks too.

So whats best to purchase?

for a low budget probably something like a Gmax -60mm kit. This will improve the cars handling without breaking the bank.
