Had a flying visit to catch up with a few friends... It was the rsoc day so certainly some fast cars... Mad matt black cortina thing, few big bhp cossies, usual crap rsts and the new norris design evo 7 was there, did a 10 something second 1/4 mile :o :o :o

There was a little jet dragster thing that only got a 15 second ish 1/4 but at 60 mph terminal speed! It used ?100 of nitrous oxide every run :lol:

There was a zafira gsi there which got a crap time, 16 something i think :?

Then there was a woman trying to do a burnout in a vectra sri with traction control :roll: Typical women! :lol:

All in all a pretty good day out! :D

Just been looking at the ND car on MIG. If you can download the clip of it going round castle combe - it pisses past other Evo's like they are just cruising into the pits. Around 700hp and ?70,000 to build apparently.

Take it the burn out didn't go so well :roll: . I went to a beetle bash once at santa pod and saw a beetle do a 1/4 mile in 12 seconds! And I saw a rocket car do 0-100 in a second!!!! :o That was crazy!

Have they updated the videos? The ones I see from their site were of the old Evo 5 and that pissed on stuff, guy was driving like a nutter and spun out.

That one ONLY had 400 ish I think. The new car is an Evo 7 I think.

Yeah the EVO 5 had around 500bhp. Saw it at Castle Combe last year, it was mental. Every gear change it backfired plus it had a large silencer sticking out the back of the backbox, because it was too loud for the track regulations. It was AWESOME! The EVO7 is going to be there on the 26th April for the CCC Action Day. Are any off you lot going to venture out onto the track?
I'll be there in my GTE Turbo trying to humble a few Scoobys.

if you go to the pod this weekend you'll see a few more 12 second beetles
i worked at a garage that converts them they run scooby engines either 1.8,2.0 turbo an 2.2 most run nos aswell!

These beetle i saw didn't have converted angines! These were just highly tuned 1600 beetle engines!! WTF :twisted:
