Got a pierburg 2e carb and a gm manifold with my 1.2 nova can someone tell me what cars they originally came from? Also do i need to run a different throttle cable as it has a different end to my standard cable ? thanks

Possibly came off an Astra 1.3 or similar but was found on Nova's as well.

2e3 carb more likely i think they do them on the really old golf's or polo's something VW anyways. but there a bit poo to be honest. get a weber :) will make you smile a bit more

Could be a 2e carb, they came with an auto choke rather than a manual one. Will give you better results than a 1b carb, so stick it on I say! Think you need an Sr throttle cable for them. Most motorfactors will be able to get them.

1.3 nova's ran them, wont bolt onto a 1.2 manifold as the 1.2 carb (pierburg 1b) is single choke where as the 1.3 carb (2e) is twin choke :)

and for the cable, apparently you cannot get holf of one anymore, i havent tried so cant comment, but yu could try to modify your existing cable as all it needs is a barrell end, i'm presuming you could get one from a bike shop?

yeh, 1.3sr or 1.4 throttle cables will fit.

what shape are the ports on the inlet manifold, as if there retangular shape, that manifold will be from a 1.4 engine and wont match your 1.2 chathederal shaped ports on the cylinder head. if its from a 1.3 engine tho it will have the matching cathederal ports you need :thumb:
