Looks great and the quality is superb for such a cheap tiny thing. May have to get one and for that price you can't go wrong.

Yeah definitley. I'll stick with the original, proven seller though. Plus I've seen enough footage of the cam in action. Although the one l1nuxxx found seems to be the same model. :thumb:

the footage on the utoobe video was impressive, ist that good i even know the motorway where it was taken lol its the M73 at the maryville interchange and the guy cuts off at daldowie cremetorium lol, btw its in scotlandshire.

Not really, only shoved it in the dogs face for a few seconds to see what the quality was like lol not far off the youtube vids tbh. Can be used as a web cam too and that's not bad quality either.
Don't get me wrong it's not perfect but it'll do.

I got 6Mb for 10 seconds so 36Mb a minute. A little over 2Gb for an hours recording.
You could open the case and run some wires from the control buttons to have remote control. Mounted in the grill with a USB into the car would be easy enough, could even provide the 5v power by breaking into the USB so it was always charged.
Or, if you run a car PC you could have it in WebCam mode and use the PC to record.
I think I'll be sticking it on the dash at Santa Pod or similar for a bit of a giggle though.
My HD camcorder only used about a Gig of card space when Ernie made his hour and a bit film at Combe lol
One of these diddy cameras would be ace to hide on the vx.

^ Your HD camcorder probably uses the AVCHD which is probably much better then the codec that little thing uses hence the better comprerssion.

concidering a track session is 15-20m you will be fine
Oooh, might have to get me a couple of these. Fit one to the rear bumper of the saloon and see if I can get some flame footage :d

lol thinking the same mate, one in the front one in the rear. (you'll need a remote button though, either that or get out and switch it on lol) Great for race fottage/track days, cruising or just driving on some twisty bits.

I might grab myself a pair and sort out some remote activation somehow. Team mondeo seems to be a magnet for being cut up/tailgated (sometimes at the same time) so it would be nice to have footage should some of the numpties on the road ever get it wrong.

According to http://www.chucklohr.com/808/ alot of the cards flogged are rejects so I wouldn't bother. Get the card from a more reliable source :thumb:

Received my camera last night from the AUS site, only took a week to get here so spot on :thumb:

Yeah I was surprised. Only draw back is you need a decient memory card if you want to do any length of filming. 1gb = 18 mins. Good thing is it will take a 16gb and there getting cheap :thumb:

A chap at silverstone had a mini camera he got off ebay for £2. The pic and sound are great, just needs a micro SD card. It takes a charge from the usb socket on a lap top.

Yeah but a few people haven't had an issue with a 16gb card. 1gb=18mins
so 8bg = 144mins and the camera will only hold a charge for 120 mins so there is not much point going bigger as you will run out of battery before memory.

I got myself 3 of these from the aussie seller. 1 for front bumper, 1 rear, 1 in-car then mash it together later. They only need to last 20-30mins for a session then you can just burn em off to your laptop and go again!

I ordered two 4gig cards from Play.com this morning.. Bit more than Tesco tho.. Might have a look in a bit and cancel my order if i need too.

Pass, i charged my cameras over night, after a bit of messing about got it wset on the video mode and tried it, being that i was in doors and it was semi dark the quality was good. Road test tomoz.

Talkin of memory cards, I bought a Sandisk memory stick from ASDA, real cheap less than half price of what Sainsbury's did same item for. Maybe worth checking.
My dad did slate Sandisk tho, they are the most copied in the world, and so don't have the memory they are ment to have as well, just an fyi.
I purchased what turned out to be a fake sandisk... luckily its the size I wanted but not the speed, but luckily again its fast enough to keep up with my slow assed camera lol

They are clean and quiet, did it before i put the engine it. Doesn't sound as bad when your standing next to it, but isn't that quite. Might change the head from my xe as that was and still is the quietest and smoothest xe i've even heard.

I get all the pressing the buttons things, managed to decipher the instructions (lol), and the light flashes as expected when taking video and pics etc, but when I plug it into my computer I see nowt on the card?
It is an 8Gb micro SD that I nicked from my old N95, had a couple folders on there from the phone, but I didn't think that would matter...?

looking down at it, right hand two buttons, rear one turns it on. light comes on.
Front button press and hold till light flashes.. That's it recording. Press again to stop. It should then make a new folder on the card.
Mine makes "sun" folders..lol

Woot, working now. I reckon it was a dodgy sd card - changed to a 2Gb one and it worked a-ok.

just looked on ebay for them i found the same one but for £7.36 free postage. just purchased it so hopfully expect it for next weekend (hope so anyway) cant wait sooo cheap and sooo good on quality from videos on youtube. and if it breaks well its like buying a pack of cigi's so just buy a new one. might get a few more if its decent to have a all round track view for days like santa pod castle combe ect... nurburgring would be a great video.

do this with a mates car with you behind and it would give you great footage of your own car :)
