e16 into 14sri

Got a plug on my e16 engine loom can anyone tell me what the wires are for.
red-blue trace
brown-white trace
blue
green- know its the rev counter
red
black

also looking for a wireing diagram for for how to mate the e16 engine loom with the 14sri car loom.and whats the engine code for the 14sri

Red/Blue Trace - Seems like the one for the speed sender/transducer
Black will be a live of some sort ?

Are the wires on the SRi loom or the E16? If it's the SRi I documented them all when I pulled the loom out/to bits so can help with that.

I only seem to have done the ECU plugs, and my eyes are tired so can't read the haynes at the mo, so meh. Here is what I have....

Blue /yellow trace - Pretty sure this is the oil guage (for the pressure dial if fitted)
black/yellow trace - Ignition trigger, not sure which coil pair
black/red trace. with round small singlke plug - I've got black/red down as the other coil pack trigger
grey/green trace with female conector - don't have this...

Do you have the dizzy version of the C14 by any chance?

Yes, but is your existing 1400 a coilpack type or dizzy type engine?

i never took it out m8 it went years ago buy i rekon it would have been coil pack as the car was reg may 93

I even fetched the old loom (whats left of it) out of the garage and don't have the wire colours as per my post above.

If you can post pictures, esp of connectors etc I can probably tell you what they are for but honestly if you want us to help you need to give us as much info as you can.

Does the engine actually run with this loom? If not get an earlier gsi loom, if you have the later loom it will have the knock sensor and lamda wires and the brain won't suit either.

the engine and loom were runining fine in stanleys car of of here 12 shell will have pics up in10 min

The first pic is the 2 conectors am not sure about they were goin through the rubber gromit at the blower motor. ?
The second pic is the 2 wire coming of the 14 car loom that i dont know what they are for

Second pic down, is oil gauge and one ignition trigger as I said.

The other one, I'll have a look later and see if I've got that connector with the green wire.

I don't have that greenish wire with that connector on the remains of my ecu loom. It might be part of the car loom, don't recognise it and can't check as the car is still laid up buried in the garage.

See your top pic stevie, is that a grey with a green trace? and a black

if so it may be the under bonnet lamp, some of the gte and gsi came with them, but you find that they are usually taped up on the blower loom

it was taped up on the bloower loom m8 .and yes that is a black and a grey with a green trace .you must be right
