GSi exhaust onto mk1

I'm looking at swapping the backbox on the nova for something less offensive, but can only find new standard GSi backboxes. I know the mk1 and mk2 exhausts come out of the bumper differently, but will the standard box fit right on a GTE rear bumper?

Gsi backbox has like a bigger tip, not sure if a gte one did?

i'm 100% certain of these facts..

std mk1 gte one will definitely fit straight on.

mk2 gsi one will sit funny cos the outlet hole is in a different place.
