View Full Version : Steering Rack Hole Covers
Hey Guys,
just wondering if there were ever these on a nova. the holes where the steering rack go through, was there ever as plastic/rubber cover to stop alot of the crap coming through.
i had a set of my old astra GTE. and sold them to a mate.
now getting a pic to explain some more.

note the holes around the edge on the seam, there are small fittings that hold the plastic cover on.
so anything like this for a nova?

Close enough lol
Could you not use some from a Cavalier or Astra? Surely some bodging could make them fit.
Carbon fibre ones would look uber cool! ;)

some rubber from B&Q + some cutting and punching holes and that should be it.

Yeah, some rubber matting, cut to shape, with a few slices in & bolted through. I wanted to make some polished alloy surrounds, bit like a gear gaitor I suppose, but never did.
I was inspired by my Astra GTE ones & the annoyance of the alignment holes in the under arch panels.

I'll probably have a bash at making a set once the important jobs are done.
