i no this is abit random, but has anyone ever fitted cavalier struts to a nova? does the balljoint line up straight? im sure the track rods would be easy sort, and a nova top mount could easily be modded to fit a cav strut, is the balljoint hole relatively offset the same as on the nova hub? any input? might try it in the future as i have a lovely set of billie tarmac coilover struts in the shed!

sell them... they won't fit without all sorts of problems.

just get them on the bay & use the money to buy nova ones

Would be way too tall/long to fit a Nova.

A friend of mine fitted astra struts(same as cav) to the front of his autocross nova.Autocross events are sometimes run in stubble fields which end up rutting up badly during the course of the days racing, and he did this to get extra ground clearance at the front. The other benefit was it increased the front track width to help cornering stability. He fitted the astra chassis brackets underneath the original nova chassis for mounting the astra lower control arms as well so that everything all lined up and fitted as it did in the astra, the bulkhead was modified so that the astra steering rack could be used too.It did all work very well but it's not worth doing on a road car. As was posted earlier, sell them and buy nova replacements. So to answer your question, yes it has been done.

Irish autocross events run differently from ours here in the scottish borders dont they ? You guys run in quarries and stuff is that right ? Single cars at a time ? I know its off topic, but i'm just interested to know how the irish events run.

yep pretty much! most events run like that, but then they run events at mondello(circuit) sometimes aswell, and they run together. most irish autocross cars are either also used in forestry or used to be forestry rally car! heres a vid for ya !http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zSVl3K8c5Ek
