1300 fuel pump

on a standard 1300 mechanical fuel pump is it possible to turn it round so the fuel inlet and outlet are facing the wing rather than the engine?

I see no reason why not, but why would you want to?

i want to mount a fuel regulator on the inner wing and my fuel lines also run up next to the turret so would look tidier and use less hose if the outlets on the pump were facing them.
