the pin with the two "wings" on the top, thats the pivot point for the linkage in the gearboxmount. it keeps popping out! ive taken it out and squeezed the wings to try and tighten it up but it still pops out of the bottom. is there anything else i can put In it? nut and bolt maybe? any info appreciated.

You could put a cable tie around the wings.

The wings should be at the top of the spindle

Hes not talking about that one mate, he means the one where the linkage in mounted to the mount, that holds the linkage to the selector arm.

it is on the top. but it pops up abit and then the linkage isnt tight in the u shaped bracket on the gearbox mount if you get me!

there must be something in the way/not fitting right for it to pop up then? either that or its not pushed down enough to click into place?

it is clicking into place thats the strange thing! ive a rose jointed linkage, maybe its sitting funny and putting pressure on the linkage and popping the pin up?

can you get a pic? i can't see how its putting pressure on it, as the u bracket won't move?

Engine movement should do this, pop to the scrappy and get another pin.

aye, also thinking i need to raise my back mount a wee bit, to take pressure off it.

take the pin out and bend the ears back

habe tried that. the in is tight enough, it must be the excess pressure on it. as dont think my engine is high engough on back mount
