will a 1.6 cam out of a cavalier fit in my 1.2

need to check the dizzy drive, depends wheather its peg or slot drive. if its different, you need to get the complete ignition system.

depends. some cavs were 1.6 BIG BLOCK's.

if your engine is spi, and the cav is a mk3 spi small block, then it should.. whether it is an improvement is another matter

my engine is carb,checked to see if the dizzy will fit and it will,so will this be safe to put in?

if the cam has a slot drive & a lobe for the fuel pump, then that is good, but check the length cos it could be too long, the cav 1.6 big block is about 2" longer

yes mate it has a slot drive and lobe for the pump will check the length of it and if it's same then in it goes.
