Before I posted a subject young guy needs help well I need more advice before i spend my hard earn ?1000 I listed to hip hop,rap things like that and I need everything. I need pacific headunits ect to install not just the type of thing to put in thanks!

i read all that stuff people posted for you. utter cack. they spent all of your ?1k for you

what i'd say is take some of your favorite CD's/Md's or what ever to a shop, be it halfords, "specialist" ice store etc and play with the head units. bear in mind that higher cost dosent mean that its better. ive got a sone Mini disk head unit and its fantastic. ive never had any complaints about sony EVER.

as for the subs, 1 good 12" should be fine, and that also allows your to "adjust" your taste in music (which will happen), i suggest any alpine or infinity sub.

personally i'd stay away from pioneer sice they seem to put more effort into a "shiny" "bling" display than they do into the sound quality. and afterall your after quality and a bit of quantity. otherwise ive wasted my time.

so as i said, go and "play" in the shops. they willb edoing you the favour because you may buy form them.

Oh and dont forget decent cables!!! the install is only as good as the calbles connecting it all up

Oh final thing, get a decent alarm, ?200 should cover a decent enough one including VISIB fitting

I have to dissagree with cambridge about sony, ask anybody that knows about ice and they will all tell you to steer away from sony, :wink: but ice just like body styling etc you have to pick the things that appeal to you, there will always be sombody saying they dont like it etc,

i agree wi cambrdge bout choice ov sub, i have 2 infinty 10's and they sound really good, but again its all bout personal choice( governed by what music you listen to, if you want spl (loud) or sq (sound quality))

Have to dissagree again with him about pioneer, i have a pioneer head unit and the sound quailty and features that its got was alot better that the alpine unit that i had!!

its down to personal choice, i like th build and sound of the sonys (not the xploid and black shitte) but the more "base" models doo very well for the money.

Alpine are the personal fave though. but hey listen to then all dont jsut go down a blinkerd road.

i've got everything in my car pioneer just love the car stuff they do gives off a really good sound.
if you is spending money on a good sound system allow something for sound proofing because it might sound great but the'll be a rattle somewhere that will drive you mad trust me!
