Il be changing the servo 2 a GTE servo, all i need 2 know is:-
Will i have 2 bleed the brakes?
It looks as tho im able 2 do it by leaving the master cyl on!
Just undo the 2 bolts, move the master cyl out of the way (with pipes attached, wnd wiggle off the servo!
Thanx alot,
Locky!

as long as u dont undo any of the hydraulic connections u wont need to bleed the brakes

whats a servo?
its a device in the braking system that assists you when pressing the pedal, it increases the pressure in the system.

What can be easily done to make the standard 1.2 brakes any better without spending a massive amount of money? Can the 1.2 sero be changed for a better one??

a servo aint gonna make them less travel
imo they dont need a bigger servo ,are you a man or a boy
its the master cylinder that needs uprating to get a shorter pedal

u can go bigger and bigger and bigger using vaux parts from bigger cars, but you dont wana over do it and over break the wee lil thing.

fit a GTE servo, and build your right leg up ;) no need for a master cylinder

no need to fit any different servo
you want feel not a stupid light pedal
a biiger master cyl will reduce the pedal travel a bit

Well my servo pipe doesn't even fit into the brake cyclinder properly at the min so i am basically driving it without a servo!! Now thats hard on your legs!. Not making the car run so well seeing that it is sucking air straght into the inlet through the gap round the brake cylinder where its a loose fit!

going to the scrappy a dinner to get one. What will fit? Astra or anything?? (just in case they dont have a Nova in)

Cheers

Just been to the scrappy and got the rubber seal for the servo to fit to the cylinder. runs a dream now! Firing on all 4 and the brakes work (as well as nova brakes work)!!

to be honest i dont really need to improve my brakes cos it stops v.fast and its really easy to lock it up. i'd just like a pedal thats a little less spongey
