These 4 to 5 stud adaptor kits do they actually do a good job? Would the current hubs need any other modifying to make use of them? Would they work with drums?
I'm thinking for the future when I decide to change wheels. There are a few Vaux designs I really like and obviously it would at least double the wheel choice I currently have, but being 5 stud it would mean rear beam mods and front hub replacing.

they work fine usually 20/25mm as long as you buy hubcentric ones they are safe for daily use and are designed to have no wheel wobble (spigots)

Most vaux 5 stud wheels are et49 tho which mean they'll be too wide for your average hatch

So if I decide to go for 5 stud adaptors then I should forget Vaux wheels but will be looking at wheels with <30mm offset? (from other marques)
Wrong mate you need a higher offset, thats why you can run Porsche wheels because they have nearly a 60mm offset so with the adapters brings it down to a 40mm

Most 5 stud vaux wheels are et49 or less so no good to you. I certainly cant think of any that are higher.

Just stop being a softlad and buy the propper parts to convert to 5 stud.

will keep that in mind.:)
Check Benn's wip, is all covered in there, imo you should be able to do it for about £150 if already running big block hubs and rear discs

rear is standard mate and the front is standard i.e will be gte CV's GTE shafts.
So will cost a fair bit more. Just wanted to ask and know what it's about for future reference.
