right i have just got a c20xe corsa it needed a cam belt as it had jumped a tooth so i put a new 1 one it ticks over fine but once u rev it hard it splutters an wen u take it out it will let u rev it to 2500 revs then just splutters an bangs then u change gear an it just does the same.any help

Take the head off,there will be damage

If it's timed up correctly then I'm affraid you could have dropped a few valves.

no sounds spot on wen tickin over its only wen u rev it very hard an also drive it

Prob find you have only slightly bent the valves, but you may of damaged the guides too

Moving slightly away from the topic but do you know about my 'spluttering' problem philip i have had since iv got my nova out? it revs up perfect and sounds really smooth but once im driving it hard it is constantly popping through the revs and missing. i have always said it is a fuel problem but yet to see what is up with it.

We didnt put all new valves in that time it fcuked up, do you think i could have slightly bent valves still? :wtf:
